From the time she comes into the world until she breathes her last
Each day, from the first ray of the sun until the last twinkling of the star
She leads a life where she lives the dreams of all but her
In this process her vision for herself becomes blur
She learns the lessons of compromise from the womb
which she puts to practice everyday till she reaches the tomb
She loses her own identity in the vicious cycle of life
because she is always busy being a mother daughter, sister and wife
whether she’s the CEO of a company or a vivacious homemaker
she is fully of empathy, love, and is a brilliant caretaker
she nurtures, she plays, she cures, she shares
without any expectation in return, she cares
The times when she is misunderstood are way more than when she is rightly understood
She perfectly manages the house, her work, children, and all that she should
but seldom does she get to hear that she’s really good
Diamonds and pearls are not what she yearns for
Loads of love is what she craves for
so what if she’s a woman
after all she’s a human
